Lead Instructional Writer


Title: Lead Instructional Writer

Reporting Structure

The candidate would report to the Manager Content/Consultant Instructional Design – depending upon the experience and position in the company.


Experience:

2-3 years in the eLearning industry

OR

At least 4 years in content development / writing / editing

Background:

·         eLearning
·         Journalism
·         Teaching
·         Technical Writing
·         Content Development (for Websites, Multimedia production houses)
·         Copy Writing for Advertising


Qualification:

Graduate/ Post-graduate (preferably in English/ Mass Communication; not mandatory)


Job Description:

The candidate will have to read and understand different types of content and do the following:

·         Structure it into logical chunks
·         Think of creative ways to teach the content – in a Web-based medium
·         Identify visuals (images, graphs, charts, etc) to support the text
·         Translate the ideas into words (in simple English)

The candidate will also have to interact with cross-functional teams to ensure their scripts are interpreted correctly and given form in a Web-based format.
